The House That Love Built
A slideshow of the rehab, community use, and eventual sale of HUM’s 2000 4th Avenue house. This house has seen the full realization of HUM's dream and purpose - giving first-time home buyers a chance at affordable housing.
HUM has partnered with Highland Park homeowner, Leslie, to help her with renovations. Leslie bought her home and all the supplies to rehab it when she injured her back and was unable to complete the work on her own. The home stood in disrepair for 10 years until HUM heard Leslie's story and joined along side her in remodeling her home.
Little Free Libraries
What is a Little Free Library?
It’s a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share.
